Lead Generation
Social media should be an asset for your business growth, which is why ROI is always the main focus. For many businesses, well-qualified leads are golden, making sales simple and effective. Ideally, a highly qualified lead is someone who has followed through a process from being an outsider to becoming an interested, engaged and ready to buy user. Luckily, social media provides us with the tools to run users through this process in a precise and effective way!
The key – ad funnels. These funnels are designed to show different pieces of content in a particular order based on the actions of the user, qualifying them so they’re ready to be contacted directly. An ad funnel can have an immense number of stages, but take this sample 4-stage funnel for instance:
Stage 1: Initial outreach and brand awareness
Here, we could start with a broadly engaging video or blog article to garner the attention of our initial audience. This first audience is the most broad, so we need to stick to relevant content which is easy to consume. In doing so, we’ll quickly be able to see whether we’re reaching the right users, plus we’ll be able to narrow down our initial audience to a smaller one for retargeting in our next stage.

Stage 2: Pain points
Here, we could start with a broadly engaging video or blog article to garner the attention of our initial audience. This first audience is the most broad, so we need to stick to relevant content which is easy to consume. In doing so, we’ll quickly be able to see whether we’re reaching the right users, plus we’ll be able to narrow down our initial audience to a smaller one for retargeting in our next stage.
Stage 3: Trust
hose who have engaged up to this point have shown that they’re interested in what we have to offer and want their paint points resolved. Now, we need to establish brand trust to prove the credibility of the product/service, ensuring they feel confident in purchasing. This can be achieved through sharing testimonials, case studies, results and more! Anything that showcases the integrity of the offer will work perfectly. At this point, users will be well familiarised with the brand and ready to be prompted with a call-to-action (CTA).
Stage 4: Call-to-action
the focus here is on urgency and prompting the user to take action. This doesn’t have to be a purchase, and for lead generation this can be as simple as providing their phone number for a consultation. By having walked the lead through the entire funnel, they’re well informed by this stage and are interested in being contacted. For internal sales processes, this is a major benefit, circumventing the need for cold outreach!
Another bonus of social media leads is their low cost compared to other methods of approach. Leads on Facebook and other social media platforms can be generated for a markedly low cost, plus, they’re ready to be sold to instead of being cold leads. Effective lead generation is the key to turning over big ROI online, and we’re experts in achieving this!
